okay i used the mechinstaller the ftped evoxdash and evox.ini renamed to xboxdash and now on startup goes to service screen wont even start a game grr.gif sad.gif mellow.gif uhh.gif wacko.gif blink.gif

That wasn't a smart thing to do. If you can't boot original games you'll have to hotswap and restore the harddisk

what in all the evox tutorials it says to rename evoxdash to xboxdash is there anywhere to get a harddrive to put in my box

well let's put it this way. It wasn't a smart move if you don't have a hacked bios to boot up. The xbox kernel will recognize it is not a valid m$ file and boots to an error screen. If your clock isn't reset you should still be able to boot the gamesave and restore your original xboxdash.xbe.(if you didn't delete it, otherwise you should try to get a hold on a new one) And what the hell does this mean:

If you wanna find a harddrive for your xbox make sure it's a lockable one. But my first guess for you is to read read and read more as you obviously don't have any idea what you are doin.
