Okay, I followed the tutorial for mapping my XBOX to XP... But for some reason it keeps timing out... what can I do about this?

u know, i've never tried doing that before using just XP.. i'm going to try that out now and see what i come up with! finally something I can do where I won't be that lazy.... lol

I use XP pro.

In My Network places, choose "add a network place", click "next", highlight "choose another network location", then "nest".

Next enter your FTP address for your box, mine is:
ftp://xbox:xbox@192.168.2.5

Works for me

I'm sure your settings are just wrong. Read the tut in my sig to get your settings right. you'll need the same settings for mapping as you do for ftping so don't let that confuse you. Once you can ping your xbox from a command prompt then go through the step for actually mapping the drive.
