goo gone is great for getting the black stuff off... leave it in overnight... then use rubbing alcohol to rub until it comes off... it will take a long time but be patient and you'll get perfect results...

its like a solvent for getting gooey stuff off (like that black stuff on the jewel)... you can get it at savon (thats where i got it atleast)...

oh btw just about ever chain store has a website now so check them

well i just soaked my jewel in rubbing alcohol over night got up the next moring wipped it off with a cloth.. and went over it with a little rubbing alcohol again and it was crystal clear.....
