So I have an xbox i tried to Softmod, I use xlinux to get it all modded. I have a backup and im all set, just then my power supply dies. I then reformat my computer and I find I screwed the softmod! I was thinking could I get a HD set it up with slayers install exploits then put it in? Would that work?

P.S. I dont know the HD pass!

yes if you have eeprom.*** or hddtxt.txt backup files

if not then you have to fix old HDD first

run a gamesave hack then FTP to fix (if ever used)
hotswap to fix

Why cant i do it on a 20 gig HD. Evox doesnt need a locked HD. BTW: I get a error 16. when i boot with the NEW HD.

OK do you have a modchip or tsop flash ?
because that’s the only way a unlocked HDD will work.
then of course a evox boot disk will work
