I will be getting a pre modded xbox with the Xenium chip in it. I just wanted it so I could play my backed up games on DVD-R. I just wanted to know if later on, say in a few months or so when the newer games are out, do you think if I backed them up my chip would still allow me to play them or would I would have to upgrade to whatever chip is out?

Do you think I'll have to upgrade to be able to play future releases that I backup?
