Well I'm trying the NKPATCHER v6.... which loades of a savegame hack with 007 then launches C:\evoxdash.xbe and works, i can run UNSIGNED XBE's BUT when I press eject the xbox reboots...

I'm using a v1.6 PAL XBOX... I thaught they mentioned EJECT FIX ...

Somebody got a clue why ? maybe my evox dash is to old ?

Tnx !

like I said in your other thread. You can only boot stuff off the hd. There is nof fix for the reset on eject when running a gamesave exploit

Jup that I understand, but I loaded the Npatcher v6 to boot evoxdash, so the kernel has been patched...

That is what they use for the american v1.6 versions... in the UDE 2 tutorial

yeah but the gamesave exploit is not the same as the UDE2. The ude2 update.xbe is the boot xbe and therefore eliminates the reset on eject. The nkpatcher does not fix that.

After reset-on-eject is enabled - it can't be disabled djbase. Well at least to our knowledge so far.. tongue.gif

There's two ways reset on eject is used.

Software,
And hardware.

When 007/MA/SC, yadda yadda boots, it sets both the software and hardware reset on ejects.

The software one can be patched easy by NKPatcher, but the hardware one is impossible.

So the tray comes out half way and the hardware one kicks on, stopping and restarting the system.

Ah ok

sorry now I get it wink.gif

But as I can remember, the old phoenix loader booted from the audio PATCH method would also not reset !

can the audio patch still be used on these new kernels ?

Ony UDE2 works on new kernels. If you downgrade to use the audio hack the Xbox will fail up.

The software one can be patched easy by NKPatcher, but the hardware one is impossible.

So the tray comes out half way and the hardware one kicks on, stopping and restarting the system.

With NKPatcher the box restarts immediately because it patches the running kernel which is already aware that reset-on-eject is enabled. When a new bios is loaded with PBL, the new kernel is not aware of reset-on-eject, will try to eject anyway and the hardware resets the box half-way.
