ER, i know this problem is on the net alot, or i've searched, but people keep saying to stop using low vid cards (like mx4000 or something way outdated).

I bought the game today, installed it, and it plays for like 15 minutes and then just crashes out of the blue. I have a 9700, with 512mb pc3200 ddr, so my setup is sufficient for the game. Any help would be appreciated.

btw, it crashes on any game settings, so low detail, at 640x480 res still crashes.

update your video card drivers, make sure you have the latest version of direct x.

kinda sounds like you pc is overheating, but that would make your whole pc crash.
