Okay,

I've read just about every thread on here in the last month on backing up games onto playable DVDs. I've been thinking about getting a DVD burner and finally did. Got a Panasonic A07-XLB 8x. I made my first coaster last night on a JVC DVD-R. I'll list what I did below and ask that anyone make a suggestion as to what they think I did wrong. First the details:

X.B.I.T. / Xecuter2 / EvolutionX Dash
Game: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (starting small)
Thompson Drive
Panasonic A07-XLB 8x DVD +-R/+-RW Burner
Made .iso (on my pc from folder ftp'd from the xbox) using Craxion (latest version)
Ahead Nero 6 (Demo Version - Just Trying - Does this program even work for this application?)
Burned onto JVC DVD-R at 2X

When opening Nero (Demo) I chose burn DVD from disk image (.iso) and used the default settings for everything except burn speed.

What should I try next? List any other info you need to help and I'll try to get it.

What is the best way to load the game after it's burned (from the DVD)?

I'm getting a dirty/bad disk error.

Other media I have on hand is JVC DVD-RW and some other DVD+Rs.

Any suggestions? I'll try them later and repost an update. Kind of new at this so please be patient. Thanks.

If you have followed the tutorial and you are getting a DDE it's more than likely a media or bios issue but it could be something else still.

Try using a different brand media
Update your bios to the latest possible version
Set all instances of IGR and TSR to off in evox.ini
Set game region to Default instead of Auto

Any or all of these things could be causing a problem.

First of all, thanks for the reply.

Maybe I should have put this in the "Newbie" chat area, but I thought I'd get better answers here, instead. Obviously this is a good answer, but I'm not this advanced, yet.

What are and how do I change IGR and TSR in evox.ini? How do I set the game region to default? System Setup?

I was going to pick up some Ritek DVD-Rs tonight. Good choice?

Also, the only tutorials I saw on here relating to Nero6 are using CD-R's.

Be sure when burning the image from nero that Finalize IS checked. On my Nero 6 setup, finalize is NOT checked by default.
