Well what chip are you using? I have the ICE chip and i just went into the OS2 bios and changed the FTP settings to made the IP 192.168.0.3 and then connected to it on my PC through FlashFXP. You want to also make sure u have it set as Dynamic IP

Yes, I also have the same problem.
---------- DSL Modem -> Ethernet Cable -> Wireless Router -> Ethernet Cable -> Desktop Wireless Router -> Ethernet Cable -> XBOX Wireless Router -> Wireless Card -> Laptop ---------- I cant connect to my xbox using FTP, or that other program FlashFXP. Do I need FlashFXP/FTP on my Desktop? Or can I run it on my laptop. I do the following: 1. Turn on XBOX. 2. Go to Settings. 3. Go to Internet Settings. 4. Connect. Then it says "Connected to XBOX Live" It also says the IP, but when connecting it says Connecting to (IP here). Connection Failed. So I dont really know how to connect to my xbox to know that it is "online". People have been trying to help in a thread I made but the thing is they say everything but on how to connect to my xbox with FTP/FlashFXP. |

i remember a few months back i wanted to be able to transfer files to/from my laptop (connected wirelessly) and my desktop. the problem was that i couldn't "see" the wireless connected computer using the wired one and vice versa.
i was using a linksys wireless-g access point with 4-port router at the time, so i called linksys tech support to ask them if it was possible. they said yes and told me to go into the router's settings and told me what to change to enable it. i did it and then it worked like a charm. long story short, call the tech support number for your wireless access point and have them tell you how to enable it. |

Find out the IP of your PC. Then set your xbox's ip the an ip where the first three sets of numbers are the same as your pc's but the last one unique.
Set the default gateways blank. Another option is to simply set evox to Use Static IP = No. This will allow your router to assign it a routable ip on the proper subnet. Remember you need to scroll to the bottom of evox's settings and save your changes. Then reboot. |
