can i fix my duke controllers buy cutting the cord from the controller and exposing the little wires under then solder them to an extention cable.

then what I would do is open the controller and carefully remove teh old cord. Note which wires go to which pads and (assuming the cord is broken at the strain releif) trim back the cable till you're past the damaged area and re solder the wires in. your controller will be about 6 inches shorter but it won't cost you anything.
