I have a lil problem maybe someone can help.
I already had mechassault and just got the phantasy star adapter today to try this. I got a ver. 1.0 xbox.
Well im up to the point where my usb key drive is now recognized by the action replay software, but I am unable to move the mechassault save game to the drive using the action replay software.
I keep getting the error, this is not a valid save game. Ive tried dragging the rar file and the folder itself after unzipping.
Ive also tried deleting the contents of a zip already in the save games folder and replacing them with the mech save game contents but I get the same error.
What am i doing wrong ?

Don't use the xbox-linux gamesave hacks. The only reason you would use them is to make your xbox a linux PC AND ONLY A LINUX PC! I you want to use Evox and play games off the HD, use another hack off of xbins.
Itools is a linux package correct? also noticed the mech assualt/other games with evo which seem like the obvious thing to install

Kapster, after you unrar the itool .rar, you are left with part1.zip and part2.zip That is all you need, drag those two files into the action replay software.

ok I think i am on track as to what is causing the problem exactly.
For instance I can take a save that is working from the action replay directory, then unzip it. Then try to rezip it back and move it to my drive. this causes the save not to work.
So i think possibly my zipper is not compressing it correctly. Im using Power Archiver.
Also another thing I noticed is I needed to have the main folder called UDATA. as well as taking out the readme, but this is still not making my zip work which I think my actual zipper is the fault.
What are you all using to get zips working? winrar? winzip?

I use WINrar for everything, except ISO's. WINrar on my comp can't unpack ISO's for some reason. And make sure you .zip the files and not .rar/.ace/.tar/whatever. You must .ZIP THEM! It's a stupid mistake that can be easily fixed, but can be very irriating and distracting.

thank you philly and forth for the quick replies.
It seems that Power Archiver was unpacking them incorrectly. Quick install of Winrar and all is working!
Would anyone like to recommend me a tut on what to after I get evox up, i know i will have no prob with the FTP part it just seems that what files to use exactly have me a bit confused.
EDIT: have no problems using phoenix loader

ldot's UDE/2 installer doesn't repquire you to FTP anything, really. It installs eveything on The HD from the gamesave. But, using !Live with the UDE/2 can be tricky.

Farbird, this is not a concern. DO NOT TOUCH THIS FILE. MY GENERAL RULE IS DON'T PLAY WITH ANYTHING YOU DON'T HAVE TO. This i belive is a file that lets the AR software view the saves in the middle column. you only need to copy the datelifo.xbx file from any AR save.
