Can I go the UDE(2) route with the following?
ver 1.4 or 1.5 (not sure which) 1.00.5101.01 1.00.5659.03 Is my dash version an issue? If so how do I downgrade/upgrade it? Also, I want to preserve my current unmodded harddrive. Is there a special way to perform this exploit to make it fully recoverable? Should I use idot's tool....perhaps memory version? Or some other method. UDE sounds like it's for me, but... I don't go xbox Live (although I have) I want to run backups (does itool install the necessary files?) I want to run a media player like xbmc (I think that's the one) Would like to upgrade the hard drive at some later point (really later) Please help...It's 2AM, I've been searching this forum for hours (really days). I'm tired, a noob, but a fast learner and eventual contributor. Thanks! P.S. EDIT: Oh and assuming I can go this route, what specific file names should I search for in the "usual place"? Where is the usual place? This post has been edited by dasha877: Aug 21 2004, 10:16 AM |

You can go with ordinary UDE.. Your dash is inimportant, but you will need to mod your original hdd first. You can uninstall it from your original hdd if you choose however. Ldots' LTools package is all you would need..
