I saw a part on a webiste which would enable or disable the chip based upon whether one pressed the eject or power button.

I can't for the life of me find that part. help?

Also, will this part work with a homebrew SST49LF020 based cheapmod? I like the idea of disabling the cheapmod by pressing a different button or holding a button
down rather than a switch.

[EDIT]

Okay I found it - It's called a smartswitch. Here's a link.

http://www.xdvds.lunarpages.com/xbox/index...age=smartswitch

My question - will this work with a cheapmod and a v1.6 box?

Hippo does this sort of thing also. Called a clevermod or something
The one in the ad will not switch the 1.6 on and off.

they agreed to send me one for testing on a 1.6, as they haven't done so yet. I guess I'll find out.
