Q: Does Bochs for XBox have network support?

A: No.

Q: Will you ever update Bochs to the newest sources?

A: This is probably the absolute lowest thing on my priority list. Bochs was probably
the least fun thing I've ported and I've received the most grief from it. There are
soooooo many other things on my Xbox "todo" list that it will be a loooooong time
before I do anything with Bochs again. <p>
Update : DOSXBox is the replacement for Bochs. I'm no longer supporting Bochs at all.

Q: what exactly does Bochs do?

A: Bochs emulates intel-compatible computers. Think of it like this - when you start
Bochs it is exactly like you turned on the power to your PC. Everything from the BIOS
initialization to the loading of the operating system, etc, etc. You can install DOS, Linux,
Windows or any other operating system onto Bochs that can run on your PC. Note, however,
that Windows runs veeeeerrrrryyyyy ssssssllllloooowwwwwlllllyyy. Installing linux in Bochs
is also silly because you might as well just install an official linux-for-xbox distribution.
Bochs' main purpose is to emulate old DOS 286/386/486 games like King's Quest 1, etc, etc.
