Does anyone know If I can just take the c files from Slayers and put them on my 1.6 box and then use a live game to update? I was trying to do the UDE2 exploit and I kind of messed up. The kernel is 5838 I believe. I was just wondering because I dont know if the kernel is going to send me an error if I replace the C on my 1.6 box with the c from slayers disk.

you cannot use the dash on slayer's on a 1.6. Can't you boot retail games? then you could let a new live game update.the dash.

krayzie, I really appreciate your helping me with this and that UDE2 exploit. I just booted a Live game and it says it was updating the dash. It finished and then the box restarted and gives me error 21 now.

I cant ftp, I need to xlinux (I don't own a mem card). Thats no big deal though. Give me a list and tell me what files I need in the folders and I can see what I can do.

On E, X, Y, Z, doesn't really matter.

But on C there should be a:

xodash folder
fonts folder
Audio folder
xboxdash folder (This contains numbers related to the dashboard version)
xboxdash.xbe

Thats the jist of things.

I know it was a joke. I've been around here logn enough to know the rules, trust me. What I was getting at is - Does the "Usual Places" have copies of original xbox dashes?

No. Just put in a new live game and let it update. It should install the right dash. If you got an error 21 after that it means something else is wrong. Maybe you still have the UDE fonts active. Just ftp in and look for the font files present.

no the ph34r.gif 'usual places' ph34r.gif lol only have legit free non-MS code on their server. otherwise they would get shut down for piracy of course. why do you think tHc isn't at the usual places lol?

so krayzie can I just more or less delete everything in my c drive and the live updater will reinstall it all with the latest? This way, I can know the exploit isnt still trying to work

thc isn't copyrighted by M$. It's a hacked dash. All bioses used are like hacked M$ bioses and they are on that server right? Thc is probaly not there cuz it's too large.
