I will upgrade the OS to Beta 2 in my xbox before installing it. Has anyone had an problems other then the solder less people? I’m going to put in a pin header. Thanks

Member No.: 3226 Xbox Version: v1.0 360 version: none	I have done 10 1.6's with Blue's and 2 Ice's.. all went ok.. couple had some minor "hiccups" but after working through those they work perfect now. Dont use the HD Upgrade Wizard in XOS, there are problems with how it creates E drive (may be fixed with B2, but after sending a modded box out of state before the problem was known I am reluctant to try it again since RAW formatting works perfect). Remember "Blue's" need the LFRAME (D0) grounded, no need to hook it up to the D0 on the chip. (Another thing only tried with Beta1, Beta2 may fix that as well, but since the other way works already, I stick with that method)

ok guys here it is:
Chip On = Frag
Chip off = normal boot

I'm 99.9% my soldering went good.

Can you explain? the guide from the team says to put the D0 to the point near the xyclops chip.

With the blue you need to ground LFRAME rather than soldering it to the chip. And load a copy of the TSOP bios from disk into flash, rather than just adding a TSOP launch item.

This was not upgradable with the HDD. switch = Frag Menu = Reboot to OS I had 2 chips 1 with Beta 1 and one with beta 2. The ground problem was an easy fix. The Bios from an Evox save on the 1.6 is 1 meg. Any chance an older one will work or kill the xbox? other then that it works awsome. And the ftp rate on the chip (88 Kb/s) In Evox (1400 To 1700 Kb/s)

I believe that's because the TSOP is actually 1MB

you can probably use a BIOS resizer to get the BIOS back to 256KB if you want (or just grab it from the usual places)

Yes, you need to use the latest bios, an old one won't work, just like X2 4983 won't work.

I use the FTP server for emergency work, and for installing bioses and dashboards... once I get a real ftp server/dash installed there's not much reason to use it anymore
