I have had my chip for a long time and from my sig you can see Im not exactly new at this, but its been so long I forget... Can I flash my modchip bios to a newer version while its still in the xbox? I never bothered doing this, I always took it out when a new version came out. I just got live, and want to put the version that disables live on my chip, but dont feel like realigning it. Its not really a problem tho cause im carefull and the only one who uses my xbox.

You have to be in mode 4 and use evox to flash. when looking at the matrix both switches will have to be away from the screw.

no read my post again

You have to be in mode 4 and use evox to flash.


once in evox ftp over and put the bios in the bios folder and edit the evox.ini file and put in this in the roms section.


Rom = "X2 4983.06",0x5a1e9bce94dd8183906745841850f839


NOTE
ROM is the command
= is the seporator and tells what the command rom is to do
"" is for a name you can put what ever there
, is to seporate the the two names and hash
has is in the form as 0x(md5)


What evox does is it reads all the hash marks and scans the files in bios any with matching hash marks will display with what ever you have in the ""

Thanks, Ill try that this weekend probably. (still feeling too lazy to open my xbox and switch the mode tho lol) I may wind up leaving it but I have a strong feeling im going to get wasted and get myself banned.

Yea the X2 4983 will stop you from useing a game to access XBOX Live.

Me I even took off my Xbox account off the hard drive and put it only on a memory card.

So I have to have the memory card in the controler to access XBOX Live
