OK, so had soft modded my xbox and it was working fineish (clock loop from time to time). But recently i got sick of that and decided to try the Ultimate Dashboard mod. After a great deal of checking, research and work i got the whole thing done exactly how i understood it. Now my xbox boots to the X screen The MS logo appears and thats it. I have backups of c & e from the xbox on my pc but i cannot unlock my hard drive to replace them. I have the hdd backup information but when i use hdunlock is says done then when i try hddisable it says device not ready. I have double checked this password a million times to no avail. Would a modchip fix my problem? Is there another way to unlock my xbox hdd?

A mod can save you, but i ask you, can you still boot games, cause if u can then just do it again via the game save exploit

Dont get that chip get an executer 2.3 pro or sumfin its cheaper and used more commonly in the modding scene

TSOP n00b flash guide

There you go. TSOP is the Xbox's onboard flash ram, much like a PC bios.

i personally prefer the tsop flash ...
a.) because i don't have very good soldering skills (but that's going to change soon)
b.) because it's fairly cheap and quick
c.) because i have everything to do it already laugh.gif


tsop basically gives everything a modchip does except live (unless you put in a switch)

yeah but can you load games, if so then yeah a tsop flash would be good, but what if its screwed and you cant load games, a mod chip may be your only option, cause with the tsop flash you do need to start the game to flash it (raincoat or evox)
