Mame Emulator Problem / Applex 6 And Slayers 2.6, freezers on booting mame emulator??? Options

Hi all,

I am haveing a problem loading my mame emulator on my xboxs with applex 6 and applex 6 pro mod chips, i have never had a problem before and the only thing i have changed is the chips (applex 6) i used to use bioxx and i have resently upgraded dashboard to slayers evox 2.6.
This problem is on 2 of my xboxs upto yet and do not know what it is, hope its not a slayers issue as they have been grate!!!
I did not think that diffrent chips were incapable of not running emulators to other xbox chips so i am really stuck on this one, all i get on loading up the mameox is it freezing saying loading and nothing else happens the xbox just locks up on loading screen.
I am using mame ox version 0.84.2b and i have the roms in that folder i have tried putting the roms in the rom folder in f: drive games but it still will not work.
