X-S Young Member Group: Members Posts: 34 Joined: 1-March 04 Member No.: 103931	not working Xbox 1.1 i try everything have TSOP 4 bank switch so i use diff bioses, and nothin change setup "SetupNeeded=false" to true changing folder names putting on c/e/f hdd unlocking / locking Still frag on Xlogo, MS logo appears didnt try region change have 1 :..( ........................ EDIT ........................... working donno how donno why on C/E/F everywhere! bugs: - frag when enter submenu w/o fies - (emu's 4 ex. i dont have it = frag when enter) - settings only with "XboxDashNext.xbx", editing not workin in dash (only audio menu works fine/ rest of funcs doesnt) - noise when enter 1st time to memory/games/setting - Dpad doesnt work here only analog thumb to navi - games pics look like in mirror This post has been edited by FarM_: Oct 2 2004, 05:51 PM

thumbs of applications on f drive are mirrored

notes:
nextdash is running as an app from f:dashboards/next/default.xbe
ms dash is 185ead00
using thc lite as main on c

Bugs: -In games/apps the pictures in the background are backwards. -It freezes on Emulators -Text in the the music soundtracks are black against a black canvis. -If you press X in settings, it will hang for a second or two. -Sometimes, you can't move in the subments after you press "X". -You can't get in any of the submenus. -Rarely, you are able to get into the submenu that lets you change text, color, etc - but the submenu freezes. -Annoying sounds when you enter Settings/Harddrive sometimes.

yup.. tested it on C n E n didnt run ... well thats why its a Beta Bug Bash release... *goes back to ava n unleashx*

make sure you have something to list - Dashboard.xbx contains the names of the folders and headings for your games/apps/emu/dashboards menus just like tHc did

controlpanel.xip/default.xap - script it to a color you like or just find the color name and change it in the skin color file

You're probably pressing L+R+X and that "hang" is you taking a screenshot

Now the other issues I just don't get, quite simply the "XboxDashNext.xbx" (which CAN NOT be renamed btw) resides in the same path as the XboxDashNext.xbe (which CAN be renamed) and simply points it to the path of the app dir instead of the old school hex editing that used to be needed. I've tested it personally on 3 different boxes in at least 2 dozen paths up to about 5 levels deep (ie: E:\dashboards\MS\Custom\Xbox Dash Next\XDN Data ) and never had an issue. There were beta testers who had started with older bioses and had a booting issue with it. UPDATE. there's no excuse for having an ancient evox bios on your box anyways

X2 4981 and up and IND bios were all tested as working in private beta tests. Keep em coming ...

Have 4981 Bios on 1.0 version xbox I know that I have the settings right for XboxDashNext.xbx - right directory, tried of c, e, and f. in apps directory 1 deep Get black screen. I missed up on the XboxDashNext.xbx once and it look me back to the dash. can't figure this one out. current settings: XboxDashNext.xbx and XboxDashNext.xbe on C app folder in F:/XboxDashNext XboxDashNext.xbx says: # # # # # # # # Xbox Dash Next Config File # # [Dashboard Settings] Current Skin=MS Dash - Orange Dashboard Data Path=F:\XboxDashNext Have any ideas?
