hi guys,

need some advice from anyone who has their xbox plugged into a projector.

i live in the uk so have a pal xbox.

i currently just use the standard yellow(video)/red&white(audio) cables but ive read that the high def pack for the xbox is better for big screens.

however i also read that PAL xbox do not support high def outputs. they only use 480i (interlaced).

then i read theres a few ways to enable these options on a PAL xbox.

using some wierd mech warrior trick , updating via live the MS dash etc.

i have mine chipped running evox , and people also say use enigmah swpa disc to change to NTSC. ?

it seems no one is agreeing what the best way to view BIG screen xbox is! or all you USA peeps dont care about us poor PAL users smile.gif and just write guides for none PAL stuff! sad.gif

can someone either point me i the direction of the best guide to connecting a PAL xbox. OR just tell me here.

greatly appreciate any advice on this guys.

If your projector supports progressive scan and has component inputs then this is the best way to hook it up to your xbox (composite is probably the worst!). Id recommend the official MS high definition av pack over any 3rd party one as youll likely have picture quality issues as theres a lot of crap 3rd party adapters available. You'll also want better quality component cables than the ones that come with the official av pack. Having said all this, Im having problems with my current set up at the moment, read this

Hopefully you wont see the same thing, but im definitely not the only one experiencing this at the moment....
