I just had my Xenium Ice installed and working off upgraded HDD.

When I select Launch Original Kernel from the Xenium menu, the XBOX
will error out with I believe an error 13.

What is causing it not to launch the original MS bios?

Error 13 is a dashboard error, most likely you have an older dashboard than the bios wants. To fix it, either download a newer ms dash online, update it thru an xbox live game (with the ethernet cable unplugged), or use slayers 2.6.

make sure that the msdash files are in the C drive of you upgraded hd. if the files are not there, then the retail kernel will not run. i find that slayer's auto intall takes very long to finish ... but it is probably the fastest option for you if you didn't backup your C drive from your stock hd.

had a similar problem except with my new X3...fixed with SlaYerS 2.6
