I have been searching high and low for a really unique jewel lately, and I happend to stop in at my buddies shop (he runs a CNC business)

We got to talking, and he said he would work on something for me. Yesterday I went to see what the result was, and I can only say WOW!

Its a billet aluminum piece, and it even has special cutouts on the backside that allow a flush mount on my xbox!!

He made a handfull of them, along with some Halo and Halo 2 (I told him to do that smile.gif)

I think what would make it look even better is to highly polish one of them. Dumb suggestion I know, but I would like to see it. =]

I agree - but you can polish aluminum pretty easily, it just takes alot of time. I may try polishing mine to see how it turns out.

Also, they do come out with a high polish machine finish, I think he has a few of those too, I'll have to ask.

I'll have to ask him what he wants. I think he only made a handfull, it took him quite a while to get it looking good and I'm not sure he had enough material around to do a whole whack of them.

UPDATE - just talked to him

He said he put a few up on Ebay for $20 each, but he would take $15 each if I could get a few orders together. That's actually pretty good considering the time that I know went into this (usually when people make billet parts, they make like a thousand to cut the cost down)

Also, he made these for the S controller too

What i would like is my name (chris) taht i have sketched out into a circle-like design, so it would look damn cool in an xbox jewel. I'd like the design to be cut all the way through, if possible, so i can light it with a white light underneath. If you can put your design into a vector file format, then I don't see why he can't do one up. Now the cost may be high, its not the product that costs so much, its programming his CNC machines, and/or stopping daily production to do a part like this.
