Here is my problem when I turn on my xbox I get no audio or video output, and the dvd tray wont open. However I get a solid green light.

I have read that this is either caused by a bad TSOP or eeprom.

1) Does anyone know which one?

2) Can I flash the TSOP or eeprom without a mod chip? and how do I do it?

3) Or if I need a mod chip to fix the problem can I fix it with an Xecuter 3?

4) and does anyone know what TSOP and eeprom stand for?

i'm pretty sure it's eeprom (if i had to pick between the two). tsop wouldn't let you boot at all, and you'd be in the flash green/red/green/red/green/etc and get the error message.

no you're going to need something that will allow you to boot unsigned code (unless you want to desolder them and resolder them to another xbox, flash, desolder and resolder to original [or just socket them for ease of use] but all that would require a mod chip AND another xbox)

the x3 you could fix the eeprom easily by allowing you to boot unsigned code, then you could run configmagic final. it's theoretically possible to reflash the bios (check here), but i'm not sure how you'd do that. here's lordvader129's tut on reflashing it with an lpc mod chip ...

tsop = thin small outline package (google def'n)
eeprom = electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (google def'n)
