Hey been trying for a long time to be able to have ftp access and internet access at the same time via my xbox.

flashfxp connects fine but progs such as xbmc cant access the internet sad.gif

im thinking its somthing to do with the default gateway but when i set it to the same as the pc my entire internet dies...

any ideas?

you have to edit the config file in xbmc to see your ip for the xbox, if you have a static IP set in the xbox edit the xbmc file when accessing it in FTP program. Just look for that file in the XBMC folder and change the default IP that was originally in there to your xbox IP. If your using a router between the modem and the pc make sure you add the xbox ip to the port fowarding section in your hardware firewall of router, add port 21, it should be accessable by typing in your address bar 192.168.1.1 theres also many tutorials for configuring XBMC in the tuts section or XBMC's home page.

Make sure you hit save , when you open it and edit it through your FTP tool, don't save as: text, Just Save: You dont want to turn it into a text file.

ah ll problem i think ive found the error but dont know how to fix it

ive tried pining all my ip's including the gateway
all check out fine...weird thing is tho when i ping my gateway with the xbox on i loose all info

any ideas how to fix?
