when you mount the cc do you still need the inverter and the metal thing that is supposed to go in the back of the computer? or can you run straight 12 to a cc

You need the inverter. But if the metal thing that goes in the back of the computer has an on off switch, i'd lose it. Just like i did when i installed mine.

Cut the power cable that goes to the inverter, and wire taht up with the hard drive power cable. That way you eliminate all the other crap.

so i just cut the wires after the inverter and loose the metal thing and then run 12v and ground?

and another thing, can i take the inveter chip out of the plastic case that it is in so i can fit it behind the hd by the power cable for it

i know it will shock you if you grab it (TRUST ME) jester.gif but can you just wrap it in elec tape or wha
