Folks,
I've got a problem with my E:\Cache directory, so I'm thinking of formatting the E: drive using slayers.I was just wondering if anyone else had done this, and if so, did they have any problems??

Thanks

Pretty much the only things you read about slayers are horror stories...... but im sure that if you read tutorials first you should be alright.

I guess this is a support forum so people only come here looking for help once things have gone wrong.

Yeah, i've been looking and there has been a few problems alright...I'm wary of formatting E:\ as its a retail partition, and also holds the Cache(which is kinda important)...my problem is that I think the filesystem is corrupted as it is a recursive directory i.e. root directory is mirror imaged in the cache folder to infinity..manual says it's straight-forward, but nothing ever is....

Just make sure you have a backup of your EEPROM info

I've never used slayers but I did make my own evox install disc when I upgraded fro standard to 120gb drive.

All i did was follow the tutorial. I had to edit the evox.ini to add the formatting options I wanted and my network details but after that it was as simple as booting the cd in my xbox and clicking "install new hard drive"

Yeah, I'm only gonna use option 4b2-5, hopefully it will do exactly as it says on the tin, and fix my prob!!
