I have an error 13 whenever i boot up my xbox becuz i screwed up trying to mod it. Wondering can i still boot an original xbox game though i cant access the dash?

Well obviously if he has the backups he would have the originals...as not having them would be illegal...so he probably is just new to xbox and doesn't have any games yet.

Not good...in that situation what else could he possibly do besides go back to having it softmodded and edit it on the fly?...or he could chip it...

Whatever you do, ALWAYS keep your box plugged into a power supply while it's in this state (or things will get even worse) eh!

I think getting it chipped is definitely your best modding option for it now. Even though obtaining a region 1 version of the exploitable game (or doing a hotswap) may let you to regain control of the box (i) it might not; (ii) you'd still have hastles to overcome; (iii) would it be much cheaper (or worth the risk) for you compared to getting it chipped eh?
