Hello,

I couldn't find my answer anywhere, so I'm posting here..

It is more a Windows related, than Xbox..

I have got internet connection thanks to a wifi b modem (sagem 1400W), and I connected my xbox to my laptop with a crossed cable.

So: (here are the "working fine" connections)

xbox<>laptop (crossed cable)
laptop<>net (wifi)

And I want the Xbox connecting to the internet..

Thx in advance.

PS: Xbox IP is 192.168.0.5
Laptop network Card is 192.168.0.1
Wifi modem is 192.168.1.1
Wifi card is 192.168.1.10

set up internet connection sharing on your laptop all network ip's need to be in the same range as your modem and wifi card.

on your xbox set your ip in the same range as the rest of the network
set your subnetmask to the same as your network (255.255.255.0)
set your dns1 as your internet dns1 (use ipconfig -all in dos prompt) and dns2 for your dns2.

use your laptops ip address for the gateway

in the end should look similar to this

Xbox IP is 192.168.1.5
Gateway: 192.168.1.2
DNS1: 203.130.24.70
DNS2: 203.130.26.70
Laptop network Card is 192.168.1.2
Wifi modem is 192.168.1.1
Wifi card is 192.168.1.10

after sorting out ICS it will set you pc/laptop network to 192.168.0.1 you might have to manually change that back to what you want it to be. If it still won't work then can you change both your wifi and modem to be in that range (standard for home networking)

Woot, it works!

I kept my settings, but just turned ON the sharing on wireless card tongue.gif

But I already wanted to it the last time, and I couldn't find the option and the advanced settings.. there was just a link to Intel Utilities :/

Now it is working well, can check the weather on my Box smile.gif Thx a lot))
