Ok, I'm softmodding a 1.6 Xbox. I start up splinter cell, go to the UDK, select UDK 2, EvoX M8, and EvoX. The screen goes green to 'install', then it all gets fuzzy and warped. What's wrong?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe v1.6 Xbox's aren't softmod capable. You have to actually install a mod chip, that could be why the softmod isn't working.

Well, I suppose it was working. I noticed the LED did change to a blinking green after some of the squiggles on the screen went away to all green. Rebooted without the disc and it was working.

Thanks anyway!

Psycho_Ninja, if you follow this guide EXACTLY, you will be able to softmod the 1.6 perfecty. I had a buch of problems softmodding also until I found a link to that guide somewhere in this form. I dumped all the other tools and used only the tools that was listed, I had it softmodded in about 10 mins.
