installing an x2.6 lite with solderless on 1.2/1.3

read through every tut and searched this site (and others) high and low.

finally got my chip led's lit.

but when d0 was connected it would red/green flash after the three reboot sequence.

I carefully lifted the spring wire out of the d0 and tried to get it back in....

it broke. just snapped off.

Am i the proud owner of a dead solderless adapter, or is there something I can do to get this d0 connected any other way?

I couldn't even get the cromwell blue screen to appear.

xbox flubber shows when chip is on or off. all leds light up. but d0 is broken off of the adapter and i don't know how to continue....

please help. i very mcuh enjoy this website and have not had to register before because all the info was already stated.

but... now.....

I can't just solder the d0 (which is the smallest thing ever) to the gold nub on the solderless adapter?

I can't even see the silver ring around the d0 anymore? Am I screwed?

Stupid cheap crap, thanks divineo! fart.

Bite the bullet...

Go to RadioShack and buy:
1. 15 Watt soldering pencil
2. Small guage solder.
3. 30AWG wire
4. Desoldering braid.

With some practice, you can solder a wire from the d0 point on the solderless adapter to the d0 point on the mobo (put some flux on the d0...)

Or, even better, use the pin header install. Takes a bit of patience, but with the right tools and as long as you give yourself some time, you can do it.
