My xbox pics gallery

Not really original but I like it none the less.

I used the hairdryer method to take off the jewel and tried to be a coyboy and use paint stipper to remove the green paint, NOT a ood idea. Fine for the bottom but I got a bit on the top of the jewel and got permanent marks on it a bit. Was actually surprised how well the sandpaper does on the bottom of the jewel.

My other problem is the lights for the jewel I got from 401. I got them hooked up to a Y adapeter plugged into the power for the HD, same place I got the glowire connect too. But they seem to get REALLY hot ... to the point I have them turned off for now. Should I be using a different power source or a resister before them or something? Eventually i'm going to buy one of the mastermods jewels or try to find something original for it.

Looks great! smile.gif

2 Questions for you:

1) How did you change out the power LED to blue?

2) What size holes did you drill to run the glowire on the top?

Thanks smile.gif

sharpie00:

1) Instructions for replacing the eject button can be found here. I purchased the blue LED's along with the LED kit for the jewel from the same site.

2) I don't know the exact size bit I used. I just looked at the glowire and the bits I had and found the best size. It's actually the tightest fit you could get it, a bit of a pain getting it through a couple of the holes in which case I had to use a reamer to ream the hole a little bigger.

Would really like to see some pics Tupac! Mod looks good lefty, though I have never really been one for the whole glow wire thing. Just personal preference. Looks good though!
