As far as i know, default dashboard has to be named xboxdash.xbe in order to load fom the hard drive, so this i just cant understand...

I loaded up a new dash (dash2gam), renamed it to xboxdash.xbe and renamed the original ms dash to msxboxdash.xbe.

All was fine until a couple of weeks ago at which point dash2gam would not load up for me. Instead, the original dash was loading up. After a couple of weeks detective work, ive found out that now (dont ask me why or how it happened) any dash named xboxdash.xbe will not load. I get error 13. The dash has to be named msxboxdash.xbe in order to load!! Is this a bios or eeprom problem? Anyone? I just want to make sure i havent knackered my xbox up.

Any ideas would be gretly appreciated.

Bios is X2.4980. X3 doesnt work at all. It just boots to a blank screen. Could my problem be that the eeprom is messed up?
