X-S Enthusiast Group: Members Posts: 10 Joined: 9-January 03 Member No.: 18547	I have done a hard disk prepare on a hard drive to use in the xbox but I've decided not to use it now. I want to put it back into the pc but it appears to have locked. How do I unlock it? There can't be serial number on there cos its not an original xbox disk so it can't be locked to my xbox motherboard. Please help

I tried putting a new drive in and couldn't. It turned out that I didn't have a chip that supported swapping the hard drives so I took it somewhere to have it sorted with a new chip to fix the problem. I didn't realise until just now but the hard drive I put in the xbox was the pc hard drive and the hard drive I have been trying to put in the pc is the original xbox hard drive. What a bummer. There is no way of getting the password for it now is there?

if you are trying to say it locks itself on reboot, then no, it doesn't lock on reboot
