 Problems With Xbins Ftp |

I am having trouble connecting to xbins ftp server. I went to #xbins and got a username and password (each time) and when I try to connect with FlashFXP I keep getting "connection failed (connection timed out)" I just don't understand. I have actually tried using SmartFTP and CuteFTP as well and I keep having the same problem. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?

Do you have windows firewall on or anything like that? I get that error when i forget to disable it or allow the firewall to access the xbins site.

I think ive heard alot of people have been having trouble with xbins today (or recently) maybe its down or somthing?

i was on it maybe 3 hours ago and i didn't have a problem at all.

I was on it this morning and everything was okay. What O/S are you using?. Are you sure that port 21 is listed. If you are using Windows XP with SP2 try disabling the firewall for the few minutes that you are on the server.

I tried connecting with no firewall running at all and still no luck! This is what I get when i try to connect
[R] Connecting to distribution.xbins.org -> DNS=distribution.xbins.org IP=199.3.239.231 PORT=21 [R] Connected to distribution.xbins.org [R] Connection failed (Connection timed out) I am running Windows XP SP2. I even went in to IRC changed my nick, but I keep getting the same password, and tried that thismorning. Thanks |

Does anybody have any ideas? As far as I know I am doing everything right but I still can not connect to xbins!

I've been having the same problem for about the past month. No one ever figured out what it was, they thought I was banned but that wasn't it. I hope you find a solution to this problem!
