you can only get this to work always on. Ground the Lframe or cut the trace better still. Rebuild the LPC and fit the AA 32 but only after flashing with a suitable bios for the 1.6.. If you wan to disable theonly way is with a dpdt switch arrangement.

Nah, I don't care about LIVE so always on would be fine.
But I have the feeling that even after I cut Lframe the box will still turn itself off ... and cutting traces isn't something I like very much, because its hard to fix such small traces.
Especially when I'm not sure about the results .....

It will cause boot from the LPC all the time. So if the chip is flashed correctly M8.16 bios and the LPC rebuilt then it will be fine. If you dont want to cut the trace just ground the LFrame point. You can't work this chip with power control on the 1.6 so forget BT and the normal way of installing.

Ok I just soldered one of my Aladdin XT Lite's (4032, bought from Salvinor,Germany) into one of the problematic Xboxes. And it worked without a hassle.
Guess my soldering was ok - the old Aladdins are not
