Problems With The Flash, Am i even doing this correctly? Options

ok heres my setup.. i hav an xbox 1.0 with an xecutor 2.3b pro installed flashed with m8. it works great

resently i switched from evox to unleashed x becuase it seems cooler
evolution x has the IGR feature i used to use all the time, and unleashed x doesnt,
unless i change my bios to x2 xxxx bios... correct?

well when i flashed my chip with m8, i used a disk, but now i want to use the
programmer. So what i did was i read all the tutorials i could find and connected
my lap top to the cable, got the program, put all my switches to off and disable
and turn it on, all it does is starts up a couple times. led is red and screen is blank

after that... i looked over some tutorials again, and this time kept my 4th switch on and
every thing else off and disabled. i start up my box, and same thing seems to happen

i have no idea of all this is supose to happen, but my lap top cant detect my chip, could
some one tell me the error i made, becuase i know its not my chip or my box, since
they work perfectly fine
