as you can see i'm a newbie. i just installed x-bit chip into my v1.6 with the v1.6 adapter. i wanting to know what my next step should be? i'm guessing it's getting a dashboard and this is where i'm looking for some assistance. i'm not sure where to get one and how to load it.

if you can get your hands on a copy of Slayer's Evox CD 2.6 ( look at usual places) burn it to a CD-RW. If you can open up the iso file on your computer, it has the EVOX M8 16 bios for your V1.6 xbox. flash the bios to the chip and then try to start the xbox with slayers CD in their. (You have to insert the CD, turn off xbox, then turn it on) It may take a couple of tries. Once it starts up using the Evox dashboard, just do the install, or do it manually with FTP
