Hey all,
I have an Xbox v1.6, and I'm trying to mod it with an Aladdin Live Chip. I have the pin header solder on and the LPC port rebuilt. (Five wires) I've tried to solder the chip directly on the pin header and tried wire wrapping it on there. I connected the D0 and the optional L1, L2, and BT wires. My problem is that the Xbox, for some odd reason, will turn on, off, on, off, then on again and the LED with blink red and green. I've tried to flash the bios on the Aladdin chip with both the Evox M8_16 file and Cromwell 2.32. If i disconnect the chip the Xbox works fine. I've used a multimeter to check continuity, and everything seems to be connected. If anyone has any suggestions, please reply. I'm getting very disgruntled. I've spent a few all day today and a few late nights trying to get this to work, including looking up forums. Thanks in advance.

It sounds like one or more of your soldered points are not good enough. Also make sure that every wire is soldered to the right place.

Is there any points on the motherboard where I can check continuity between the LPC port and the chip?

Not sure about the testing points. Your mobo should be fine though, since it boots fine with the chip out
