Is there a way to set your box to boot to the dashboard when a game disc is currently in the drive??

I'm gettin really sick of pulling the game discs out just to boot to the dashboard... (I haven't gotten a replacement hdd yet.)

You can use XBTool to edit your BIOS and tell it not to look for default.xbe on the disc. just make sure you back up your original BIOS and have someway of recovering from a screwup, they happen to the best of us.

Why not just start up your xbox by press the eject button, Then it wont boot from the Disc.

I think that he is talking about IGR, when he is already in the game and he wants to go to the dashboard.

Ohh yeah, I read it wrong.

I dont think there is anyway to do it.

You can not change it so it wont boot from DVD in XBTOOL, there is no way. Its greyed out. If you renamed it to not look for default.xbe, you would never be able to boot any game. They are all default.xbe.
(In my opinion)

Make sure auto start games is turned off in Evox and setup the IGR. That might make it boot back to the dashboard..
