My favorite saying, "If the drive locks then use it." Check to see if its lockable, if so then yeah ya can use it.

If so..do i use the same chords that came in the xbox to plug this hard drive in or the ones provided in the box of the hard drive? I did that and all i get is error 13

13 - kernel - Dashboard launch fail (due to missing/bad key, or anything else that would prevent it from running) and the dashboard didn't specify why it failed.
Maybe you just set up your hard drive wrong. But try to use the IDE in the xbox since it will be easier on you. |

s0ftm0d, I read your post regarding the if its locks then it works theory and i'm looking into getting this hdd:

There are sites that say if the hard drive will be lockable for the xbox. Try to find one of those charts.

s0ft, I found a site with the chart. fucked up thing is the HDD is listed about 10 times and half say its lockable other half say it's not... any suggestions?
