Hey,
I ordered a mod chip for my xbox, and I just got it in today. I was pretty estatic when I recieved it however when I opened it, I looked in horror. I ordered an X-ecuter 2.6 Combo Soderless. ( I am petrafied of soldering ). Now When I opened the package it looks like a normal chip whats not solderless.
Can someone please look at these pictures and tell me if they shipped me the right chip?
Thanks
Check pictures here

Thank you so much,
Troy

The part that makes it solderless should be on the bottom of the chip, they're called pogo pins. These pins depress when you screw it in, and rest on the LPC points and the d0 point. I can't tell if they are on the bottom of your chip or not, but they should look something like this:

And that's some random picture of pogo pins I pulled off of ebay, so don't worry about it matching up.

You definately have a version that requires soldering. If you are really against soldering, I suggest contacting the company you bought it from immediately and getting it switched out.

Otherwise, the header-pin installation is really simple, although it can seem a little intimidating if you've never soldered anything before. But if you paid for the solderless version, definately get the product you intended on ordering.

Good luck!
