making a mic input on logitech corless controller

so here's the idea, gonna get a cordless USB mouse, hack it up so all i have is the wireless parts, attatch the recieving end to the reciever/memory card slot that goes into xbox, and put the transmitting end in the logitech controller and solder my LIVE headset module to that, and then have the mic coming out of that in the controller

but now i have realized that this probably wont work because of power issues, and also there is data sent to the mic, not just from it. am i correct, or will this still work??

has anyone else tried this?

It's not that easy to just take one cordless thing and adapt it for something else. I wouldn't recommend even attempting this one unless you know for sure that it would work.

It for sure, wouldn't work. There is no way a wirless mouse transmitter and receiver is gonna be able to send sound.

They do make a wireless xbox headset, just try mounting it's receiver in the base station by the xbox and you should be ok ( i think the logitech has ports, if not you'll have to hardwire it --- and on side note, I HAVE NOT seen that mod yet *hint hint*)
