When I boot up my Xbox and get to the Dashboard after about 25-30 seconds its just shuts off. No Light, flashing or anything. If I load up a game it will also shut down 20-30 seconds later. It was working perfectly before. Someone told meit might be thermal fuser its getting too hot so it shuts the xbox off. I know I will have to buy antother power supply to know for sure but just wanted to get some opinions.

could be anything, maybe your xbox is overheating,

take the case off and try it

try ramping up the fan speed a little

Had the same prob as you do.
First check with system settings to see if xbox is actually overheating.
If you open the case, the xbox should not overheat.


My xbox was not overheating and I knew the modchip was ok, so I ordered
a new psu from Lik-Sang. And guess what, everything was working after that biggrin.gif

I have a 1.4 xbox and it seems like the original psu's are not quality products.
Just by comparing with the original and the new you can see the differences.
The new has protected shields and none of that white shit on the card.
