OK, you are installing a chip but you don't know if you even have a bios on it? Where did you get the chip? The screw is there because you need a spacer to properly align the chip, with the spacer the original screw will not fit. The modchip needs the USB adapter card to properly work for it has the controlling DIP switches.
Rule number one, have all parts before installing or it is like saying that you can't get you car running but you don't know if you have a motor...

PS it is not shipped with a bios, you must load one on.
he said there was another guy that was going to install it but didn't have time or something.. . the screw fits with the spacer, so it must be the screw that came with the xbit. i was told that the other guy already loaded two bioses onto the chip. so i guess i should just turn all the dipswitches off to make sure it is loading the first bios.. . although i don't know what the bios looks like so i don't know where it is looking to load dashboards at.. .
i do have the part with the dipswitches.. . i just don'y have the usb adaptor the hooks up to the PC.. .
