b4 i put in my new 160 gb hdd how do i get the hdd key off my origional drive and i want eeprom

There will be a back-up option on your dash (just use evox for this, simplicity is so sweet), use that and a folder onwill be created (E: or f:) and it has all the files you need, just FTP them to you PC .

back up the files on your orig xbox hard drive, use a dashboard boot disk (simply any dash you choose configured to format a new HD on cdrw/dvdrw) and tell it to format your drive. Use EvolutionX to lock your hard drive (find the script somewhere on x-s) You dont need to do anything manually (like saving your hd unlock codes or anything.) At least I didn't when I replaced my HD.
