I have flashed my spider chip. I want to reflash it with something else. So I setup evox to do this, but I get the

Manufacturers ID 09 Device ID 00
!! Flash Not Writeable !!

I know the flash is writeable since I initially flashed the chip.

Any ideas how to flash the spider through evox?

I'd like to know if anyone has had success with this as well. I'll be installing a crapload of these chips coming up soon, and want to be able to reflash a few times without a programmer. Guess Spider wasn't really thinking when they made the chip. I mean, why wouldn't they just put cromwell on there, and allow you to flash another 256k bios slot on the chip so that you would have both? Then, we have the x-chip that has 4 frigging meg, and upwards of like 14 256k bios slots! I mean, where's the happy medium? wink.gif

I normally get 0900 on chips that are write protected. Double check that.
