if you spray uv paint on a motherboard and let it toally dry will it cause any shorts or performance issues?

Ask the guy who is doing this uv project right now, he was saying about a special paint which didn't have this 'chemical' or something in it and was perfect for spraying motherboards with. read that thread and you should find out wink.gif

*edit* I dunno about UV paint though..*

no it'll be fine as long as heat sinks aren't coated at all (or heavily) you're good to go - person with a PC literally painted with regular paint his entire mb gray and yellow looked awesome btw and had no problems

Wow that was the best idea I ever heard!!! As soon as i get UV paint im doing it cuz i already got the leds in there....sorry for jackin ur idea tho ahha

You need to get a paint that is non conductive, then you will be fine, PM the guy with the UV box for more details.

the only one that comes to mind is the green uv liquid cooled mod and i don't believe there was any mention of certain chemicals
