I have a nephew that has an xbox and him being young original games don't last too long before being scratched so i figured that i could use my xbox with x3 to make a dvd copy of the games he owns. Is there any way that his xbox would be able to play his backup games without a chip?

without a mod? no
without a chip? yes, you can flash the TSOP or install a softmod |

just did some reading on softmods and looks like that might be the way to go about this
ANOTHER QUESTION His xbox is either a v1.6 or 1.6b and i've read somewhere that you might have to change the rom in the xbox for a dvd-rom to play copies of burnt games....is this really neccesary???? This post has been edited by nospmohtkcin: Jan 12 2005, 03:47 PM |

Nope, just put on the softmod. I would suggest either ltools or THE MODPACK. Most people don't have access to the modpack, so use ltools. Its in the operatingsystems/distributions folder. |
