Hi all,

I've got evolutionX 1.8.3481, and i would like to know if it's possible to launch a game (already on the HDD)
(or whatever else) via a ftp command.
uhh.gif
I suppose it could be possible because evolutionX propose IGR fonctionnalities when a game is ftp launched.

I have an older version (couple of minor builds) and I can lauch my games via ftp.

the command to use is execute

I would.

1) Log in
2) Navigate to the correct dir
3) enter the command "execute default.xbe" changing the filename if needed.

I use a script to compile, copy and then launch any XBE files im developing and it works a treat.

hope this helps

Any FTPClient that can send commands (certainly CuteFTP) can do it, I use the good ol' fashioned dos ftp command to do it and thats as basic as they come so I should think most if not all will allow it.

Patching the XBE all depends on the Modchip, Most new modchips patch the xbe 'on the fly' so you don't need to patch them. I personally do not patch my XBE files. I have an executerII Lite.

to execute a xbe from flash fxp, right click on the right file view, go down to commands > edit commands and add Execute %f

select the file you want to execute and right click > commands and execute should be in the list.
